Connection Methods

Guided connection

Embedded Signup

Connect through Meta’s guided authorization flow. This is the simplest option when setting up an eligible WhatsApp Business Platform account.

How to connect
  1. In the WAServe panel, choose Embedded Signup.
  2. Continue to Meta and sign in with an account that can manage the business.
  3. Select the Meta business and WhatsApp account, then follow the prompts to choose or register a number.
  4. Review the requested permissions and finish setup.
  5. Return to WAServe and confirm that the number shows as connected.
For an existing API setup

Manual Meta API credentials

If your WhatsApp Business Platform setup is already managed in Meta, enter its identifiers and access token in the manual connection option in the WAServe panel.

What you need

  • Phone Number ID
  • WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID)
  • Meta App ID
  • Access Token
How to connect
  1. In Meta, open the app and WhatsApp account connected to the business number.
  2. Copy the Phone Number ID, WABA ID, and App ID from the corresponding Meta account/app settings.
  3. Create or obtain an access token with the WhatsApp permissions required for your integration.
  4. In WAServe, choose the manual/API connection option and enter the four values in their matching fields.
  5. Save the connection and verify the displayed phone number and account details.
Treat the access token as a secret. Do not share it in chat, screenshots, or public support requests. If a token is exposed, revoke it in Meta and create a replacement.
Use an existing WhatsApp Business App number

Coexistence

Coexistence lets eligible businesses connect an existing WhatsApp Business App number to WAServe while continuing to use the app. Coexistence setup is available from the WAServe panel.

How to connect
  1. Open WhatsApp Settings in the WAServe panel.
  2. Choose the Coexistence connection option if it is available for your account.
  3. Follow the Meta prompts to authorize the existing WhatsApp Business App number.
  4. Return to WAServe and confirm the number is connected before starting team workflows.
Coexistence availability depends on Meta account and phone-number eligibility. Follow the eligibility message shown during setup; do not disconnect or delete the existing WhatsApp account as a workaround.

Common Issues

Which connection method should I choose?

Choose Embedded Signup for a guided Meta setup, Manual Meta API credentials if your API account is already configured and you have its IDs and token, or Coexistence if you want to connect an eligible existing WhatsApp Business App number.

Where do I get the manual connection details?

Find the Phone Number ID, WABA ID, and App ID in the relevant Meta business and app settings. Create an appropriately permissioned access token in Meta. Keep the token private.

I do not see Coexistence in the WAServe panel.

Coexistence depends on account and number eligibility. Check the WhatsApp Settings options in your panel and contact WAServe support if you need help confirming eligibility.
